Sarva darshan is a free darshan offered by TTD (Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam) board. In this darshan pilgrims have to wait for their turn to catch the glimpse of Lord in the compartments of Vaikuntham Queue Complex II. Sarva darsanam means “darshan for everyone”. The timings for Sarva darsanam are different on different days of the week.
On normal days, about 18 hours are allotted for Sarva darsanam and on peak days, it is open for 20 hours. The entrance for this darshan is through the Vaikuntam Queue Complex. The complex is a series of inter-connected halls that leads to the main temple. An efficient queue system ensures that pilgrims move in an orderly fashion through the Queue Complex, towards the main temple.
The halls in the Queue Complex are clean, spacious and ventilated. Besides these, TTD has provided various facilities for the pilgrims who come for this darshan. These facilities are mentioned below.
Generally, devotees had to wait too long for the sarva darshan. To avoid this and to promote cultural attraction and local tourism, TTD has started the so called Slotted Sarva Darshanam shortly called SSD in which devotees can book for a time slot in which they can get their darshan at free of cost. Tirumala board has started the current time slot booking counters for free darshan at various locations in Tirumala, Tirupati and at other public places.
Annaprasadam is provided for the waiting pilgrims on free of cost.
Milk, Coffee & Tea are provided for waiting pilgrims on free of cost for every 3 hours.
Free Medical facility is also provided.
toilets and free filtered water facilities are provided.
Closed Circuit Television, through which devotional programmes and music are relayed.
For any complaints and information there are complaint booths are provided where officers will be available to help.
Important details about sarva darshan:
1. Tickets are non-transferrable as there is biometric verification needed.
2. Darshan slot will be mentioned on the ticket.
3. The devotee must report on the specified time at VQC II entrance
4. Luggage can be deposited at the entry point, which can be collected at PAC IV.
5. Online Booking is not available for these tickets as tickets are only issued at the counters in Tirupati and Tirumala.
6. The Crowd will be high during Holidays, Weekends, Major festival days, Thursday (Due to Nethra Darshan) and Fridays. Slotted Sarva Darshan is meant to avoid congestion in the compartments and long waiting time.
Steps to get Tirumala TTD Slotted Sarva Darshan Tickets in online at Tirupati:
In previous days People are allowed to leave the compartments once and only they have waited for 2 hours to take re-entry passes.
Now things have changed. Devotees with Proper ID card like UID Aadhar card must approach the SSD ticket counter. There the ticket issuer will capture the Aadhar details, and will give photo entry pass with allotted darshan time. Devotees must approach the entry gate with their proper Identification to get entry in the darshan q. This is free of cost and no need to wait for more and more time.
There are total 109 Slotted Sarva Darshan Counters have been assembled for pilgrim’s service. Anywhere they can get the entry passes or change their darshan timings.
Now Voter ID and Aadhar is recognized as ID proof for adults. Children below 18 years are given by IRIS capture.
